Is Dry Ice Cleaning more expensive than
Laser Cleaning?
Laser cleaning is another cleaning option offered here at Merritt Industrial. While laser cleaning and dry ice blasting may seem like they provide similar results, they’re best when used together or for their own strongholds. In many cases we can provide laser cleaning services at a reduced rate when compared to dry ice blasting as our laser cleaning systems require no consumable unlike dry ice blasting.
Laser Cleaning Pricing
You can expect laser cleaning pricing to range between $250-$350 per hour and be priced by the day or by the job. Just as outlined in our dry ice pricing guide, it is important to consider the equipment the vendor will be using when rendering services.
A vendor with a lower wattage 300-500w pulse laser may still be able to render a quality service, but will likely take them 2-3 times longer than a vendor like Merritt Industrial who is running a 1,000w pulse laser. It can be expected that both vendors will be charging a similar hourly rate with one costing you far less due to machine intensity and efficiency.
Merritt also offers a 2,000w continuous laser cleaning machine. This machine is used when surface heat transfer is not an issue.
Laser Cleaning Benefits:
- Cost-efficient – Fast Cleaning
- Precision cleaning
- Very safe and environmentally friendly
- Eliminates the need for consumables and reduces secondary waste saving you thousands of dollars in post-work clean-up.
If you’re considering laser cleaning, obtain detailed quotes from multiple service providers if available. This will help clarify costs tailored to your specific cleaning needs.
